The 31-year-old model shared a collection of vacation photos on Instagram on Monday, August 10, offering fans a rare glimpse into the mother-daughter duo’s relaxing time by the beach.
One of the photos captured Hadid walking across the sand toward the water while reaching her hand back for 5-year-old Khai. Another showed the model holding her daughter on her hip as they rested their heads close together and looked out toward the ocean.
Hadid kept her Instagram caption simple, posting only a fish emoji alongside the photos.
The peaceful vacation moments offered another small look at the close relationship Hadid shares with Khai, whom she welcomed with former partner Zayn Malik in September 2020.
Hadid and Malik dated on and off for several years before ending their relationship in 2021. Since then, the two have continued raising their daughter together while largely keeping their family life private.
In a 2025 interview with Vogue, Hadid explained that she and Malik organize their custody schedules months ahead of time while remaining flexible when plans change.
She also spoke positively about their relationship as parents, saying there continues to be “love and a feeling of camaraderie” between them.
Hadid acknowledged that public interest in their relationship can sometimes make things more complicated, but said their priority is not sharing every detail of their history with the world.
Instead, she emphasized that they are focused on raising Khai with mutual respect — both as coparents and as two people who have shared an important part of their lives together.
Hadid has since found love with actor Bradley Cooper, whom she began dating in 2023.
The couple recently attracted attention after they were photographed in Paris wearing matching gold bands on their left-hand ring fingers. The appearance sparked speculation that they may have taken a major step in their relationship, but a source told Us Weekly that the jewelry is instead a pair of “promise rings” they have reportedly had for several months.
According to the source, Hadid and Cooper are serious about one another even though they are not currently interested in having a traditional wedding.
Their family lives have also reportedly become increasingly connected. Cooper shares daughter Lea with former partner Irina Shayk, and the source said the two girls get along and spend time together.
For Hadid, however, her latest photos kept the attention on something much simpler: a quiet summer getaway and a few meaningful moments with Khai by her side.
