Leah Remini is officially heading to Beverly Hills.
The King of Queens star, 56, confirmed on Wednesday, August 26, that she has joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for season 16.
After news of her casting surfaced, Remini shared a link to coverage of the announcement on Instagram and kept her reaction simple: “It’s true!!”
Bravo confirmed earlier that day that Remini had signed on for the upcoming season after other cast members began filming earlier this summer.
Although Remini is best known for her scripted television work, she also has extensive experience with unscripted programming. From 2016 to 2019, she hosted, produced and edited the A&E docuseries Scientology and the Aftermath, which explored her highly publicized departure from the Church of Scientology and featured stories from others who had also left the organization.
Remini is not the only new addition to the RHOBH season 16 lineup.
Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles alum Tracy Tutor confirmed on August 19 that she had also joined the cast. Tutor announced the news on Instagram, saying she was excited — and a little nervous — to open up more of her life to viewers.
Tutor noted that Beverly Hills is where she has raised her daughters and built her career, making the move into the Housewives franchise feel like a natural next chapter.
The upcoming season will also feature changes following the departure of Amanda Frances, who announced earlier in August that she would not return after one season.
Frances said she was grateful for her time on the show but felt ready to focus on the next stage of her life. During her season, she became involved in conflicts with several cast members, including Bozoma Saint John-Watson and Dorit Kemsley.
With Remini and Tutor joining the lineup, season 16 is already shaping up to bring a new dynamic to the long-running Bravo franchise.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 16 will air on Bravo, while previous episodes remain available to stream on Peacock.
