PBS is bringing a packed lineup of mysteries, documentaries, family programming and international dramas to Prime Video throughout September 2026.
One of the month’s biggest highlights is the return of the Magpie Murders universe with Marble Hall Murders, effectively serving as season 3. Susan Ryeland once again finds herself drawn into the world of fictional detective Atticus Pünd while working on a new novel.
This time, Pünd investigates a crime set in Corfu in 1955, while Susan faces a mystery of her own in the present day involving the Crace family. As secrets begin to surface, both storylines become increasingly dangerous.
Also returning is The Marlow Murder Club for season 3. Judith Potts, Suzie Harris and Becks Starling are back as part of DI Tanika Malik’s crime-solving team, taking on another series of high-profile murder cases with their unconventional approach.
Younger viewers will get new episodes of Rosie’s Rules with Volume 13 arriving September 14. The new batch of episodes includes rodeo adventures, family competitions, imaginative games and plenty of lighthearted lessons.
Another major September release is Trespasses, premiering September 20. Set in Northern Ireland in 1975, the drama follows Cushla, a young Catholic schoolteacher whose life is shaped by the Troubles.
Her world changes when she begins a relationship with Michael, an older married Protestant barrister. Their romance becomes increasingly complicated as political tension, violence and personal loyalties collide.
PBS Masterpiece also has several additional releases arriving during the month, including Everybody Lies season 1 on September 4, Incognito season 1 on September 11, Paradise season 12 on September 18 and Second Death season 1 on September 25.
PBS KIDS will add Work It Out Wombats Volume 13 on September 4, followed by Rosie’s Rules Volume 13 on September 14 and the film Elinor Wonders Why: The Festival of the Moon on September 21.
Documentary fans also have plenty to watch. The Story of Cats season 1 arrives September 14, while Ages of Ice and The Battle to Breathe debut September 16. Later in the month, Knowledge Keepers, Sing Democracy 250 and Scammed join the PBS documentary lineup.
PBS Living rounds out the schedule with Motorweek season 46 on September 15, while Sing Democracy 250 is also set to appear on the channel September 25.
With mysteries, historical dramas, kids programming and documentaries all arriving this month, PBS on Prime Video offers a wide range of options for viewers looking for something new in September.
