Off Campus stars Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli became fan favorites after playing Hannah and Garrett in season 1, but some viewers have recently started questioning whether their close off-screen friendship has changed.
The pair formed a friendship while working together on the Prime Video series and frequently appeared side by side during the show’s press tour in early 2026.
In May, Cameli spoke warmly about Bright and said the two had become very close while filming.
“We are so lucky. Ella and I are really, really good friends,” he said, adding that they spent a lot of time together on set.
Bright echoed that sentiment, explaining that working alongside people who genuinely cared about the show helped make the experience more enjoyable and took some of the pressure off.
After Off Campus became a major hit, fans began paying even closer attention to the pair’s off-screen dynamic.
Some viewers also hoped their on-screen chemistry might turn into a real-life romance, but Bright shut down that idea in July.
“I totally get [why fans want] it, but it is so weird,” she said on the In Your Dreams With Owen Thiele podcast.
Bright described Cameli as “literally my brother” and said she loves him, while also praising his girlfriend, Raina Morris.
The feud speculation began later in the summer.
In late August 2026, some social media users noticed that several posts appeared to be missing from Cameli’s Instagram grid, including multiple photos featuring Bright.
That led to unsubstantiated rumors that the costars might have had a falling out.
Neither Bright nor Cameli directly responded to the speculation at the time, and there has been no confirmed evidence that the two are actually feuding.
More recently, however, the pair appeared together in a Prime Video video during a September 2026 event.
Standing next to Bright, Cameli thanked fans for the response to season 1.
“We just wanted to say that we have been so overwhelmed by the response to the first season,” he said. “You guys made it what it is, and we genuinely cannot thank you enough.”
Bright then confirmed that season 2 is currently in production.
“We’re back filming season 2 right now, and we cannot wait for you to see what’s coming,” she said.
Their joint appearance offered fans a new look at their dynamic and suggested that, despite the online speculation, they are continuing to work together as season 2 moves forward.
For now, the supposed feud remains just that — speculation.
