Jonas Brothers Turn Back Time With Their Iconic 2008 Tour Looks in NYC

The Jonas Brothers turned back the clock during the opening night of their Burning Up Tour All Over Again at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas brought major 2008 nostalgia to the stage on Thursday, August 20, by recreating the looks they wore during the original Burning Up Tour nearly two decades ago.

Joe, 37, stepped out in a gray blazer with black detailing and a lime green shirt underneath, closely matching his memorable 2008 concert look. Nick, 33, wore a gray pinstripe suit with a blue dress shirt and Burberry tie, while Kevin, 38, appeared in a charcoal vest layered over a white long-sleeve shirt.

The brothers even joked about bringing their old costumes back for the special show.

“As you can tell, we got these outfits,” Joe told the crowd before joking that the clothes had not actually been taken from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Nick quickly added that the outfits were not there “yet,” prompting Joe to joke that they were “still waiting on that call.”

The throwback fashion moment did not stop there. Later in the concert, Joe changed into another familiar piece from the group’s 2008 era — a tank top featuring the words “Burning Up” written across the chest in flames.

The nostalgic wardrobe choices perfectly matched the theme of the new tour, which the Jonas Brothers announced in July as a celebration of one of the most important periods of their career.

“The Burning Up Tour changed our lives and we can’t wait to relive it with all of you in a place that means so much to us,” the group shared when initially announcing two special Madison Square Garden dates.

Demand proved strong enough for the brothers to add a third New York City performance. The response eventually led them to expand The Burning Up Tour All Over Again across North America.

The trio described the expanded run as a celebration of “the songs, the memories, and everything that made the burning up era so special.”

Nearly 20 years after the original tour, Joe, Nick and Kevin are giving longtime fans the chance to relive the era — right down to the outfits that helped define it.
