Former Duke basketball standout and NBA veteran Kyle Singler has drawn renewed concern after posting a series of social media videos in which he criticized his former college coach, Mike Krzyzewski, and made several allegations about his current circumstances.
Singler, 38, said in one video that Krzyzewski had “set me up,” while also claiming that he had reached out to his former coach for help and had been dismissed.
“I have no power. I have no house. I’ve reached out to Coach, and everybody has turned the other way,” Singler said.
Across three videos, Singler was shown pacing inside his home while speaking into his phone. He repeatedly alleged that people had interfered with his finances and property and said he felt unable to live normally.
Singler also claimed that people were breaking into his home, accessing his accounts and stealing money. No evidence supporting those allegations was included in the supplied report.
He directly appealed to Krzyzewski several times, saying he believed his former coach was aware of what he was experiencing.
“Coach, I need your help, man,” Singler said in one clip.
Singler played four seasons at Duke and became one of the program’s most recognizable players. He was named the Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player after helping lead the Blue Devils to the 2010 NCAA championship.
He later spent seven seasons in the NBA, playing for the Detroit Pistons and Oklahoma City Thunder.
In another video, Singler described feeling isolated and said he believed he was being mistreated in Oklahoma. He also referenced the deaths of friends and family members and claimed his own life was in danger.
Singler’s latest posts are not the first time his social media activity has prompted concern.
In November 2024, he posted another video saying he feared for his life and felt that he had been mistreated, neglected and portrayed unfairly by people around him.
Singler also faced legal trouble in October 2025, when he was arrested in Oklahoma and charged with misdemeanor assault and battery in the presence of a child following an alleged domestic incident. Singler denied assaulting his girlfriend.
Krzyzewski, 79, retired from coaching in 2022 after a historic career at Duke and remains the winningest coach in college basketball history.
The supplied report does not include a response from Krzyzewski or Duke regarding Singler’s latest claims.
