Tom Brady is celebrating a major milestone for his eldest son, Jack, who turned 19 on August 22.
The retired NFL superstar marked the occasion with a heartfelt Instagram tribute, sharing a carousel of family throwback photos while reflecting on how much his son has meant to him over the years.
“Happy 19th birthday, Jack! 🎉 Aug 22, 2007 is a day I’ll never forget, because that’s when you showed up and stole my heart (and my sleep… and my patience… hahahaha),” Brady wrote. “You’re kind, thoughtful, empathetic and full of love!”
Brady, 49, went on to express his pride in the young man Jack has become.
“I’m so proud of who you have become. You fill my heart with so much joy and I’m blessed to be your dad. I can’t wait to see what’s next,” he added.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion also celebrated Jack on his Instagram Stories, posting photos of the teenager dunking a basketball.
“19?!! Slow down! HBD Jack,” Brady wrote, joking, “Don’t think I could do that at 19…”
Brady shares Jack with his former girlfriend, actress Bridget Moynahan. He is also father to son Benjamin, 16, and daughter Vivian, 13, whom he shares with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen.
Brady has previously spoken about both the challenges and rewards of raising his children, explaining that one of his priorities as a father is helping them maintain perspective as they navigate their own experiences.
In a 2024 interview with Us, Brady said he hoped all three of his children would ultimately build lives filled with purpose, happiness and meaningful relationships.
“As parents, we just want our kids to do better than us,” he said at the time, adding that he wants to guide his children toward finding things they genuinely love doing.
Moynahan, 55, also appeared to mark Jack’s birthday on social media. She reposted an anonymous quote that read, “The love of my life doesn’t call me with romantic words or nicknames. The love of my life calls me ‘mom.’”
For Brady, the birthday celebration offered another glimpse into the close bond he shares with his eldest son as Jack begins his final teenage year.
