Jessie James Decker is opening up about a major personal decision as she continues embracing a new chapter in her health and fitness journey.
The country singer, 38, revealed on Instagram that she has officially chosen a date to address the “very large” breast implants she has had for years.
“I’ve officially locked in the date and made the decision to take out my VERY large breast implants,” Decker wrote on Friday, August 21, explaining that she had been considering the change for about six months before finally putting her plans into motion.
Decker underwent a breast augmentation in 2021, but she now says the larger implants no longer feel aligned with the person she has become.
While she has considered completely removing the implants, Decker admitted she is still deciding whether she is ready for a full explant procedure or would prefer to significantly downsize.
“Ultimately, I would love to explant altogether, but I know myself, and realistically I’m not sure I’m totally ready for that yet,” she explained.
The singer credited her recent fitness journey and work with her JJD Fit Club program with helping her feel stronger and more confident in her body.
“This strong girl era has really helped me feel more connected to my body and what feels right for me,” Decker wrote. “I just don’t feel like these big implants fit who I am anymore.”
Decker, who shares four children with husband Eric Decker, also said welcoming their youngest son, Denver, in 2024 helped inspire her new “less is more” outlook. The couple are also parents to daughter Vivianne and sons Eric Jr. and Forrest.
“I want less maintenance in my life and I’m embracing my natural girl era,” she shared.
Becoming a mother to a daughter has also influenced the way Decker thinks about beauty and body image. She said she does not want Vivianne to grow up believing that extensive upkeep is necessary in order to feel beautiful.
For now, Decker has made one part of her decision clear: she no longer wants her current implants getting in the way of the lifestyle and fitness goals she is pursuing.
Whether she ultimately chooses complete removal or downsizing, the change appears to be part of a broader shift toward feeling stronger, more comfortable and more like herself.
