Conner Leavitt is responding to criticism surrounding his casting on Dancing With the Stars with a sense of humor.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, 32, shared a TikTok on Monday, September 7, poking fun at comments questioning whether he qualifies as a celebrity on the competition series.
“Hi, I’m Whitney’s husband. text ‘Conner L’ to 21523 😜,” Conner captioned the post, referring to his wife, Whitney Leavitt, who previously competed on Dancing With the Stars.
In the video, Conner and his professional dance partner, Adele Zaikman, pretended to read reactions to his casting before appearing upset by the criticism.
“POV: You get cast on DWTS and find out ‘nepo husband’ doesn’t count as ‘star,’” he joked.
Whitney, 33, also joined the conversation by sharing her own playful TikTok that read, “When someone says our nepo daddy isn’t a star.”
Conner responded appreciatively, writing, “Yall are the reason I Nepo so hard 🤘🔥🖤 love you guys so much 🖤🥹.”
Viewers first became familiar with Conner and Whitney through The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which premiered in September 2024. The series followed the couple as they worked through challenges in their marriage while raising their family.
Whitney previously spoke about rebuilding trust in their relationship, explaining that therapy helped her decide whether she wanted to work through their difficulties and move forward together.
Conner later opened up during the show’s season 2 reunion about painful childhood trauma and how therapy helped him better understand some of his past behavior. He said that becoming more open about those experiences played an important role in addressing problems in his marriage and personal life.
Now, Conner is stepping into a new spotlight with Dancing With the Stars — and despite criticism from some viewers, he appears determined to approach the attention with humor.
