Leah Remini is officially adding a Real Housewives diamond to her résumé.
The actress, 56, has joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for season 16, according to a report published Wednesday, August 26.
Filming for the upcoming season is already underway, with several returning cast members recently traveling to Ghana for Bozoma Saint John’s August 21 wedding to Keely Watson. Remini is expected to begin filming in Los Angeles as production continues.
The casting marks a major reality-TV move for Remini, who has been a familiar face in television for decades.
Her career began to gain momentum in the late 1980s after appearances on Who’s the Boss? and its spinoff Living Dolls. Throughout the 1990s, she continued building her résumé with roles on shows including Saved by the Bell, First Time Out and Fired Up.
Remini became a household name in 1998 when she landed the role of Carrie Heffernan on The King of Queens. She starred opposite Kevin James for nine seasons and later reunited with him on Kevin Can Wait.
She also appeared alongside longtime friend Jennifer Lopez in the 2018 film Second Act.
Outside of scripted television, Remini earned recognition for her work on Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, which ran from 2016 to 2019. She produced, edited and narrated the A&E series, which examined her departure from the Church of Scientology and featured stories from other former members. The series earned her an Emmy Award.
Remini has also shared parts of her personal life publicly over the years. She married Angelo Pagan in 2003, and the couple welcomed daughter Sofia in 2004. After 21 years of marriage, Remini and Pagan finalized their divorce in October 2024.
Her arrival on RHOBH comes as the season 16 cast continues to take shape.
Amanda Frances previously announced that she would not return for another season, while Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles alum Tracy Tutor confirmed on August 19 that she had joined the Bravo franchise.
Tutor celebrated the news on Instagram, writing that she was excited to begin a new chapter and let viewers see more of her life in Beverly Hills.
With Remini and Tutor joining the cast, season 16 is set to bring fresh personalities and new dynamics to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
