Erin Andrews is opening up about her ongoing journey to grow her family, revealing that she and her husband, Jarret Stoll, are still trying for a second child.
“It’s a lot harder at 48 than I ever thought it would be,” Andrews recently told Us while discussing her work with Cancerguard’s multi-cancer early detection test.
Andrews and Stoll welcomed their son, Mack, via surrogate in July 2023 after a yearslong fertility journey. The couple later began trying for another baby, but in May 2025, they revealed that their surrogate had suffered a miscarriage.
Despite the difficult experience, Andrews said she is not ready to give up.
“For some reason, I don’t take ‘no’ or bad visits very well. I said to my doctor the other day, ‘I’m not done,’” she told Us.
Andrews added that she remains determined to continue trying and see what happens.
“I’m very, very interested in continuing this whole thing and seeing what I can do,” she said, adding that she feels prepared to face another difficult chapter after everything she has already experienced.
The NFL broadcaster also encouraged couples facing fertility struggles to communicate openly and lean on the people closest to them.
“I’m so grateful for communicating because you can’t keep it in,” Andrews said. “Lean on your loved ones, even if they’ve never had to deal with this before.”
Alongside discussing motherhood and fertility, Andrews reflected on another deeply personal part of her life: her battle with cervical cancer.
September 2026 marks 10 years since Andrews was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She underwent two operations following her September 2016 diagnosis before doctors declared her cancer-free in 2017.
Andrews recalled receiving the news after going for what she described as a routine screening, despite having no symptoms.
“I was sitting in a hotel meeting room on a Saturday,” she recalled. After receiving a text from her gynecologist asking her to call, Andrews immediately feared that something was wrong.
Her experience ultimately reinforced the importance of regular medical checkups for her.
Nearly a decade after her diagnosis, Andrews said she has reached an important milestone in her follow-up care, moving from visits with her oncologist every six months to annual appointments.
Her experience with cancer is also part of why she is working with Cancerguard to promote awareness of early detection. According to the supplied story, the prescription blood test is designed to complement routine cancer screenings and screens for more than 50 cancer types and subtypes.
Now, with her 3-year-old son Mack, Andrews says taking care of her own health has taken on an even greater importance.
“Things are serious. Like, you’ve got to look at this [situation] and you really need to take care of yourself,” she said, emphasizing the importance of caring for both herself and her child.
