Brianne Howey and husband Matt Ziering have officially expanded their family.
The Ginny & Georgia star, 37, announced on Sunday, August 16, that she had welcomed her second child, sharing a sweet first glimpse of the newest member of the family on Instagram.
“Our whole world just got a little more whole 💛🌼,” Howey wrote alongside the post.
The actress also shared a selfie showing her smiling while the newborn, dressed in a floral-print outfit, rested on her chest.
Howey had announced her pregnancy in May with another heartfelt Instagram update. At the time, she shared a mirror selfie wearing a strapless yellow gown while cradling her baby bump.
“Here we grow again 💛,” she wrote in the Mother’s Day announcement.
The arrival marks another major milestone for Howey and Ziering, whose relationship began more than a decade ago.
The couple first met in 2015 while out at a bar with friends. After five years together, they became engaged and originally planned to marry in 2020. Their wedding was postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and they ultimately tied the knot the following year.
They became parents for the first time in 2023 when Howey gave birth to their daughter.
The actress marked that occasion with a hospital photo showing her smiling with her newborn resting on her chest.
“My whole world just got a whole lot sweeter. And smaller. Welcome my little love 💛,” she wrote at the time.
In recent months, Howey has also spoken openly about how marriage and parenthood have changed her relationship with Ziering.
Speaking to Us Weekly last month, she reflected on how different their lives look compared with the early years of their relationship.
“The first five years we were together, we weren’t married, we didn’t have a child, we didn’t have a dog yet,” Howey said. She described their evolution as a chance to continue growing individually while also developing together as a couple.
Howey said watching Ziering become both a husband and father has given her an even greater appreciation for their relationship.
She explained that seeing him step into those roles has been a “beautiful” and sometimes surprising experience, adding that she remains grateful for the partnership they have built.
That teamwork has also been especially valuable when Howey is working.
The actress said Ziering’s ability to travel with her and help care for their family allows her to concentrate on professional responsibilities when she needs to be away.
She specifically mentioned everyday parenting responsibilities such as bathtime, bedtime and drop-offs, explaining that knowing Ziering is handling those moments gives her peace of mind while she is working.
Now, with baby No. 2 officially here, Howey and Ziering are entering another chapter together.
The actress has not shared many additional details about the newborn yet, but her announcement made one thing clear: the newest arrival has already made their growing family feel even more complete.
