Danielle Olivera has shared a heartwarming update about her baby boy, Aidan, after what she described as a long and emotional journey in the NICU. The In the City star revealed on Monday, August 24, that her son had officially been discharged after 63 days and was finally home with his family.
“Yesterday Aidan graduated from the NICU after 63 days! He’s finally home 🥹💙 We love you Stony Brook [Hospital], thank you so much for everything,” Olivera, 37, wrote via Instagram.
Alongside the announcement, Olivera and her boyfriend, Eoin Heavey, 39, posed with Aidan in front of a sign celebrating the milestone. The sign noted that after 63 days in the NICU, Aidan was ready to “move in” with his family on August 23, 2026, marking a major moment for the couple after months of uncertainty.
Olivera had previously shared that Aidan, the couple’s first child, was born 10 weeks early and was expected to face an extended NICU stay. In June, she told followers that her baby had “a long road ahead,” while Heavey compared the experience to “summer camp,” explaining that Aidan would likely need around-the-clock care during his first few months.
Over the past several weeks, Olivera continued updating fans on Aidan’s progress. In July, she said he was “getting stronger every day” thanks to the care of the NICU staff at Stony Brook Medicine in New York. By August 1, there were more encouraging signs, with Olivera revealing that Aidan had grown to 6 pounds, 15 ounces and 20.5 inches long.
She also shared smaller but meaningful milestones, including Aidan beginning oral feeds, gradually weaning off his feeding tube and moving from preemie diapers into newborn sizes. Olivera said the couple was also grateful for the live feed provided by the NICU team, which allowed them to check in on their son even when they weren’t physically there.
Fans and friends quickly filled Olivera’s comment section with congratulations after the latest update. Summer House star Ciara Miller called the post “Sooooo sweeettt,” while others, including fellow moms, shared supportive messages about finally bringing a preemie baby home.
