Kylie Jenner is getting candid about the skincare routine that helped her manage persistent breakouts in her late 20s.

The Kardashians star, 29, opened up about her skin in a YouTube video shared Sunday, August 23, revealing that her complexion began changing when she was 27.

“My morning skincare routine has kind of been the same for a while,” Jenner said. “I started breaking out really bad when I turned 27. I do feel like I got my skin under control and my routine has kind of been the same for a few years.”

Jenner explained that she starts her morning with a gentle cleanser and rotates between a few different options. In the video, she used the Sofie Pavitt Facial Cleanser before moving on to serum.

As she enters the final year of her 20s, Jenner said she is focusing on keeping her skincare simple and effective.

“This is officially the last year of my 20s, so just focusing on simple, effective skincare,” she said.

She then applied an oil-free moisturizer that she said works well for her breakout-prone skin.

“This doesn’t break me out and I break out really easily from moisturizers,” Jenner explained. “It’s very light and it looks nice under makeup.”

Jenner also used Kylie Cosmetics’ Supple Glaze Primer and described primer as her “makeup tip of 2026.”

Sunscreen has also become an essential part of her routine.

“Turning 29, I do not miss a day of sunscreen,” Jenner said, adding that she blends the product down her neck.

The Kylie Cosmetics founder also revealed that she changed the way she gets spray tans after dealing with acne. She said she stopped spraying her face because she believed the product could be contributing to clogged pores.

“Once I started getting bad acne and stuff, I stopped spraying my face because I felt like it was clogging my pores,” she explained.

When it comes to makeup, Jenner said she now tends to stick with looks she knows work well for her.

One beauty habit she has recently returned to is applying mascara to her bottom lashes. Jenner said her sister Kendall Jenner had previously influenced her to skip bottom mascara, but she has since changed her mind.

“Now, I’m obsessed again,” Kylie said. “I just think it’s really sexy. I love how it gives you those doll eyes.”

Jenner ended the video by sharing her excitement about posting more content on YouTube.

“That is my everyday routine,” she said. “I am so happy to be back on YouTube. I’m having the best time.”

For Jenner, managing breakouts in her late 20s appears to come down to consistency, lightweight products and avoiding anything she believes could irritate or clog her skin.
